This years Challenge takes place on Sunday 15th March at Bovington, Dorset.
With the lead being taken by 2391 (Parkstone) Squadron, cadets from other Squadrons in the South East Sector of Dorset/Wilts Wing have joined in to form two male and one female teams of eight to participate in the Challenge.
Squadrons taking part: 2391 (Parkstone), 130 (Oamead) D/F, 149 (Poole), 171 (Christchurch), 2185 (Swanage) D/F, 2185 (Wareham)
The Challenge includes a 3 mile route march, shooting competition on the DCCT and an assault course.
The teams have spent considable time in the preceeding 6 weeks getting ready for the Challenge. With regular physical training sessions the cadets have managed to achieve a high level of fitness. Time was also spent at RAF Lyneham preparing for the shoting competition with time also on the DCCT at Blandford Camp. Although there was no way the teams could spend time on an assault course it was possible for them to see the course and get an idea of what they have to do.
